Continue to Pray - Intimacy

Thanks to all the faithful prayer warriors for our 10 year anniversary conference. 

Our heart and mission of COMPEL is that women would grow in their intimacy with the Lord.  That is our prayer request for this day - Sunday...

Lord, as we worshipped with you today, we cried out to draw near to you.  God even as we think about the women who you are prompting to COMPEL, we pray that you will move them to come, and then more importantly, move in their Spirits.  Lord let them leave understanding your restoration.  Unlock the burdens of their past and free them to a deeper relationship with you. 

Strength....

The joy of the Lord is my strength....

Oh how I love that reassurance.  He will be our strength. 

Honestly ladies... every day I see God moving and working.  Yesterday on my blog (www.simplygracejen.blogspot.com) I wrote about the significance of "He Knows My Name" to me personally.  For those of you that were at the conference last year, you may or may not remember my Mary Banks story (it's on the blog above...)  Anyway... I blogged about her and some other significant things and how God uses things to come FULL CIRCLE. 
Without knowing what I had written, Mary posts this on her wall like ten minutes after I posted my blog...

So, I shouted out to her and let her know how her timing was so incredible and that God was still using her, and got this as a response. 

‎"Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, they may forget, yet I will not forget you. Behold, I have indelibly imprinted (tattooed a picture of) you on the palm of each of My hands..." ~ (Isaiah 49:15-16 ) Yes indeed, HE KNOWS YOUR NAME! (Loved your blog. Thank you for sharing it with me.

Again, I am blessed by the Lord by his ability to weave his plan out perfectly.  Perhaps that is what he will reveal to you at COMPEL 2012!  Now onto our prayers for today...

Strength, Stamina, Ability and wisdom for staff and leadership.  Pray for the staff at the Marina Inn.  God has given us favor for several years with the Marina as they work so well with us and make it so easy for us to be there.  We always pray for each of their staff.  From the Janitor to the kitchen worker to the maids.  Our prayer is that they see an authentic love in the Lord from us.  Give them ears to hear Lord, even as they serve us, bless them!  The leadership team is thick in registration and in decision making.  Please pray that God would make this what he wants it, and not what we expect it to be by human standards.  Pray that we can make decisions quickly and precisely.  Please pray for Shawn as she works on the prayer room and Saturday morning prayer time.  Pray for Sherry as she works through ambiance.  AND especially for Barb as she handles the registrations coming in (btw - have you registered yet?)  And for Michelle, who is our money gal...  Jen (that's me) asks for prayers for vision for the remainder of this year, and also for choosing next years speaker.  God always chooses and we try to listen carefully.  WISDOM in that process would be great!  ALSO, please pray that we would get individuals interested in signing up for our first ever Praise Choir...  (An email is coming shortly!) 

It is so fun to know that each of you is able to see and pray with us.  THANKS for your faithful hearts! 

A season of preparation....

Listen.... that is what I hear God calling me to.  A season of listening.  I find the best way to listen is to spend time with the Lord... and then be quiet.  (Which isn't always easy for me...) 

I also know that God uses his people to speak to one another. 

As we begin final preparations for COMPEL 2012, I'm going to ask each of you to join our leadership team in prayer.  We have a daily prayer guide that we follow, and I'd like to share with each of you...

Today we are paying for Mailings and Fiscal provision and web site registration...

So join us in lifting up those things.  Typcially everyone waits to register until the last week or two, which is VERY nerve racking for us to not know if we are planningn on 200 or 500...  But, God always provides.  So pray that God would lead ladies to sign up this week.  That when they get online that they can easily follow the process.  Also pray that area churches will put out the material and promote it...

Pray for the finances.  Each year we barely "break even" and what ever bit in the black we are we try to donate to another non-profit.  With costs of speakers and food increasing we found it necessary to increase the price this year.  Pray that it wouldn't be restrictive for any who would desire to attend. Pray for supernatural provision in the finances. 

Last week I mailed letters to the tv and radio stations hoping for some "free" coverage leading up to the event.  Pray that at least some of them are moved to include it.  This week I'll be sending out a mailing to area newspapers...  Pray they would feel moved ot include in their next addition.

 And everyday... we pray for those who are going to attend.  That they would be moved by Him.  And that each lady would listen to the promptings of the Lord for them to join us. 

As you join us in prayer... please listen for the Lord.  Sit in expectation of him being with you.  And share what you feel moved to share with us! 

This isn't "our" conference.  It is HIS...  We want to be in his will.  Prepare our hearts now Lord...

Compel 2012 - He Knows My Name

Hello ladies...

Compel 2012 is starting to shape up and look pretty exciting.  We are already praying for each of you and will open registration in the Fall. 

Save the date... January 20 & 21, 2012 marks our 10th Anniversary!!!

Can you imagine these two paired together???  WOW is it going to be a blessing!  We'd encourage you to begin praying into Isaiah 43 today...  You'll find our theme verse nestled in verse 1.

She Speaks Conference

So... Lysa did an awesome job at this years conference!  I mentioned at the conference that I first saw Lysa at her "She Speaks" conference for speakers, writers, and women's ministry leaders.  Well....  registration for that conference is just now open.  I have had some of you mention that you would like to attend and I thought that it would be good to put a blog post out there to see if we could get a group from the Siouxland Area to attend together.  The year I attended, I went alone and stayed with someone I didn't know.  That was fun, and I formed a lifelong friendship, but I also think it would be great to go with a group of ladies. 

Perhaps God has been moving in you.  Perhaps he spoke to you during your "Be Still" time at the conference.  Whatever it is, feel free to get in touch with me or post a reply.  It will be fun to see what God has in store for this!
